Las Vegas has a lounge problem: everybody wants in.
The few times I've flown out of Vegas, the Chase Sapphire Lounge has been packed, with a waitlist that felt like trying to get into a club on a Saturday night. Except this club has carry-ons and people who've been up since yesterday.
So I did the reasonable thing and walked over to the Capital One Lounge instead. I get in with my Venture X.
Three visits later, I can say it with a straight face: this is one of the best lounges for food I've ever been to. And I have no complaints. None.

How to find it
The lounge is in Concourse D, on the upper level. Come up the escalators and it's right by gates D50 and D51. It opened in February 2025, so it's still one of the newer lounges in the airport.
One heads up: most of the good lounges at LAS are on or near the D gates. If you're flying out of somewhere else, you may need to take the tram over and back, so leave yourself time.
How to get in
- Venture X or Venture X Business: the primary cardholder gets in free
- Guests: $45 per adult and $25 per kid (under 2 still free), unless you hit $75,000 in spend in a calendar year
- Authorized users: only with the $125-a-year lounge add-on
Access is also first come, first served. In Vegas, that matters.
Full transparency: that's my referral link, and I can be rewarded if you apply through it and get approved.
What it's like
The food
I just love the small plates idea. Instead of a sad buffet with trays that have been sitting there since lunch, you get little dishes that actually feel made for you. The food was great every time.

The cocktails
The cocktails at the bar are so cute. I forget which drink it was, but one of them comes with a little souvenir in the cocktail that you get to keep and take home, and they encourage you to. It's a small thing, but it's the kind of small thing you remember.
The grab-and-go
The grab-and-go section is even cooler. I took some grab-and-go stuff onto the plane and ate it on the way back, which beats paying airport prices for a sad sandwich at the gate.
Crowds and bathrooms
- Crowds: it was never crowded any of the 3 times I went. I got in almost instantly, under a 10-minute wait every time.
- Bathrooms: individual rooms, super clean, and well maintained. If you've ever used a lounge bathroom during a rush, you know how big a deal this is.
Sapphire Lounge vs Capital One Lounge
I can't give you a fair head-to-head yet, because I've never actually made it into the Sapphire Lounge. Every time I've tried, it's been slammed.
And honestly, that's the point. A lounge you can't get into is worth exactly zero. The best lounge in Vegas is the one with an open seat, and in my experience, the Capital One Lounge has had one every time.
The verdict
If you have the Venture X and you're flying out of Vegas, this is the move. Great food, cute cocktails, no line, clean bathrooms. I genuinely have nothing bad to say about it.
The one catch isn't the lounge itself: bringing friends now costs $45 a head.
